The opioid crisis in the United States costs tens of thousands of lives per year—and some of the victims overdose at work. Naloxone (Narcan and RiVive are two available versions) can reverse the effects of opioids and save lives, and employers are increasingly considering stocking the product at work. The FDA’s recent approval of nonprescription over-the-counter naloxone nasal sprays makes the life-saving drug more accessible to employers that want to have them on hand in case of an emergency. This multistate webinar will focus on individual state laws and requirements as well as address frequently asked questions and best practices for large and small employers alike.

In this month’s webinar, Leslie Wallis and Charles Thompson will discuss the changes to California law that went into effect on January 1, 2024, including the new wage theft notice and new reproductive loss/failed adoption leave and paid sick leave laws, as well as the February deadline for providing notice to current and former employees who previously signed noncompete agreements.
