Oscar Margáin Vega joined Ogletree Deakins in January 2016 and was made a partner in January 2023. Previously, he worked as a Senior Associate for more than 6 years in a local boutique firm, where he led the Labor Litigation Group (2015). There, he focused his practice on individual and collective high-risk and contingency lawsuits before the Local and Federal Labor Boards of Mexico, as well as the strategy planning and prosecution of Amparo Claims. Oscar has extensive experience performing all types of consultations in employment law, including hiring and termination processes for employees and executives (with cause and without cause), investigations, reductions in force, personnel transfers, employment reorganizations, and the implementation of employment policies, codes of conduct, and internal regulations, as well as compliance. Oscar speaks English and Spanish.
